“Administration of processed gold in children is a unique practice mentioned in Ayurveda as “Swarnaprashana” by Acharya Kashyapa thousands of years back. He explained evidently the administration of Swarna (gold) in children for the benefits of improving intellect, digestion and metabolism, physical strength, immunity, complexion, fertility, and life span”

Benefits of Swarna bindu prashana

By Swarna bindu prashana, child develops Medha (mental ability), Agni (digestive power), Bala (strength), Aayu vardhana (prolonged life span). It is Mangalakara (brings positive attitude in life), Varnya (good complexion), grahabadha nashaka (voids away associated evils).
If Swarna bindu prashana is done for a month, the child’s intelligence increases and immunity increases. If it is administered for 6 months, then child will be shrutadhara (remembers what he hears once). Thus it improves good sense of hearing, speech and acuity. It reduces temper, attention deficit, bed wetting and other psychosomatic problems, learning difficulties, hyperactivity, delayed milestones etc.

Why Pushya Nakshatra?

The day of Pushya Nakshatra is very auspicious and according to Hindu religion all the Nakshatras have their own effect on different metals. The rays radiating on the Pushya Nakshatra day doubles the medicinal values present in gold.
So it is a good practice to provide swarna bindu prashana to the babies in order to build a healthy and intelligent community.
